Allison has been named the 2026 winner of the Perkins Award for Outstanding Teaching! At the ceremony on April 22nd Allison started off by saying

“Right away I want to thank my students. Every student who has taken a course with me has helped shape it, but I’m especially grateful to those in the room today who have come to celebrate the work we’ve done together. Teaching is, at its core, a relationship—one built on trust and a willingness to work through uncertainty. That you trust me with your time and your attention, two things that are in constant demand in this crazy world, and that you value what we have built together – in many cases well after we first started – means a great deal to me.”
